REVIEW!!!!!!!!!

1. Explain how to get to the server drives and your folder.
To get to the server drives you have to double click on server_drives then in my computer go to jstudents then photojournalism then 3rd period then for my folder go to Cindy Martinez.

2. Explain how we use blogger.com in this class
We use blogger to post blogs in this class. To create a blog you click new post and put what ever you want to be posted. It is used to do our classwork.
3. Explain the process of creating a pinhole camera
To create a pinhole camera take a oatmeal can and cover the inside and lid with black construction paper so no light gets in. Then, cut a small square in the middle of the side then take a square of foil and tape in inside and behind the square and poke a small hole in it with a pin then take a square of black construction paper and take it over the cut so that you can open and close it with ease but not let any light in when it is shut.

4. Explain how the pinhole camera works and how the image is transferred to the paper inside
The paper inside your camera responds to light. So when you take the picture you open the flap for a certain amount of time letting the light in. This then transfers the image onto the paper so when develop the photo it shows up.

5. Know how to define and explain the 10 rules of composition, these 10 rules will be a major portion of the final and you better know how to recognize these rules, explain these rules and show me you understand them:
5a.  Rule of thirds- is divided into nine equal segments by two vertical and two horizontal lines, this adds balance and interest to your photo.

5b. Balancing Elements- You should balance the 'weight' of your subject by including another object of lesser importance to fill the space.

5c. Leading Lines- By thinking about how you place lines in your composition, you can affect the way we view the image, pulling us into the picture, towards the subject, or on a journey 'through' the scene.

5d. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)- They can make for very eye-catching compositions, particularly in situations where they are not expected. Another great way to use them is to break the symmetry or pattern in some way, introducing tension and a focal point to the scene.

5e. Viewpoint- Rather than just shooting from eye level, consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, from the side, from the back, from a long way away, from very close up, and so on.

5f. Background/simplicity- look around for a plain and unobtrusive background and compose your shot so that it doesn't distract or detract from the subject.

5g. Create depth- You can create depth in a photo by including objects in the foreground, middle ground and background.

5h. Framing-By placing these around the edge of the composition you help to isolate the main subject from the outside world. The result is a more focused image which draws your eye naturally to the main point of interest.

5i. Cropping-By cropping tight around the subject you eliminate the background 'noise', ensuring the subject gets the viewer's undivided attention.

5j. Mergers and avoiding them-You can be sure the camera always sees mergers, so look for plain backgrounds before you pose your subject.

6. Explain how action and emotion impact a photograph- Action and emotion impact a photo greatly. They help the viewer understand the photo and know what is happening. Also, it can cause the viewer to have a connection the photo.

7. Explain how a photo can "tell a story"- A photo can tell a story by incorporating emotion or action. If the viewer sees this and its surroundings then they can understand better what is taking place.

8. Explain what the word "multimedia" means and share some examples of how we have seen them in class (on the blog)
Multimedia is media and content that uses a combination of different content forms. In class they were used in many of the slideshows.

9. Know how to correctly write a caption. I HIGHLY suggest you rewrite the rules on your blog and find at least 2 photos on the internet, post them on your blog and write correct captions for them. This will be a MAJOR portion of the exam as well.
1.) first sentences includes major information about the photo (who, what, where, when, why, how). You may make up the information for this assignment.
2.) First sentence should be written in present tense as if the action of the photo is still happening.
3.) second sentence should be past

, and should include background information.
4.) Information in caption should not be obvious by looking at the photo.

5. If there are three or fewer recognizable people in the photo, you must give all of their names (you can make them up for this assignment).

6. Use strong verb  whenever possible.

10. Explain how "strong action" verbs enhance a caption
Strong action verbs enhance a caption by giving an explanation to what is really happening.

11. Explain how ethics come into play in regards to photojournalism and compare and contrast this with fashion photography. You really need to get the idea that changing photos to fit a need or to make something look like something else is VERY unacceptable in photojournalism.
Ethics should not be used in photojournalism due to the fact that they are very misleading. This is wrong when you are trying to tell a true story. In fashion photography this is used greatly to encourage the selling of products.

12. Explain the difference between a portrait and a self portrait.
Portrait is taken of somebody else while self portrait is taken by you.

13. Explain what characteristics of a good portrait are.
A good portrait is in focus, has good exposure, and uses composition rules.

14. Explain what the major differences are between newspaper and yearbook.
The major differences in newspaper and yearbook are: newspaper is for things going on recently around school while yearbook is things that happen through out the whole year. Also, in newspaper there are more stories than photos as opposed to yearbook which is primarily photographs.

1. Aperture- A circle-shaped opening in a lens (a hole, really) through which light passes to strike the image sensor or the film. The aperture is usually created by an iris diaphragm that is adjustable, enabling the aperture to be made uniformly wider or narrower, thereby letting in more or less light. The size of the aperture is expressed as an f-number, like f/8 or f/11.

2. Shutter- A movable cover for an opening. In photography, that opening is the lens - more specifically, the aperture. The shutter blocks the passage of light traveling through the lens to the film when it is closed, and allows light to reach the film when it is open. Shutters are composed of blades, a curtain, a plate or another movable cover. They control the amount of time that light is allowed to pass through the opening to reach the film.

3. Exposure- (1) Exposure occurs when light is permitted to strike a digital camera's image sensor or a traditional camera's film - i.e. when the sensor/film is exposed to light. (2) Exposure is the total amount of light striking the sensor/film or other photographic material. (3) Also refers to a combination of shutter speed and aperture used in exposing the sensor/film in a camera, as in “My light meter shows an exposure (or an exposure reading) of 1/125 second at ƒ/11.” A particular aperture and shutter speed combinations are often referred to as “exposure settings.” “Proper exposure” refers to exposure that produces an image satisfactory to the photographer

4. F-stop- A lens aperture setting calibrated to an f-number

5. Single lens reflex- A camera with one lens only for both viewing and picture-taking. The image is reflected onto a viewing screen by a moveable mirror in the camera. The mirror flips out of the way just before the shutter opens, permitting light to strike the film.

6. Negative- An image in which the brightness values are reversed - that is, reproduced so that the lightest areas are the darkest, the darkest areas are the lightest, and intermediate tones are similarly reversed. "Negative” commonly refers to such an image on exposed and developed photographic film that is intended for use in making positive prints of the image.

7. Positive- Opposite of a negative - An image, such as print or a slide, with the same tonal values and colors as the original scene.

8. Contact sheet- A contact print made from several negatives at one time, usually an entire roll or whatever number of frames will fit on the print paper. The negatives actually come in "contact" with the printing paper, or as close as possible to the print paper when in a contact-printer negative holder.

9. Agitation- Gentle movement of liquid photo-processing chemicals (developer, stop-bath, fixer) during processing of film or paper in order to achieve uniform results.

10. Enlarger- An adjustable light projection device used in a darkroom to project an enlarged image from a negative through a lens onto photographic paper in various degrees of enlargement.

11. Stop bath- An acid bath or rinse (usually a weak solution of acetic acid) for stopping the action of a developer before fixing a negative or print.

12. Fixer- The chemical solution used for fixation. It removes any photo-sensitive silver-halide crystals that were not acted upon by light or by the developer.

13. Safe light- A lamp, typically in a darkroom, that allows a person to view light-sensitive material without it being altered by the light. The lamp is generally coated with or enclosed in a partially-translucent filter that screens out light rays to which the film or paper are sensitive.

14. Burning- Also known as "Printing in." In a darkroom, providing extra exposure to an area of the print to make it darker, while blocking light from the rest of the print.

15. Dodging- Blocking a portion of the light when printing a photograph or manipulating a digital image so that an area of the image will be made lighter.

Choice Sheet

I think i would like to do yearbook next year only because its sound like alot of fun, your more involved with the school and putting together a big piece at the end of the year, so it's like all year your working on a project that will be looks at, bought, memories at the end of the year. It's about being creative and creating captions, and coming up with the best you can to make the yearbook wonderfull! and thats what i want to do:)

Abandoned Theme Parks

I would like to visit, Spreepark, Berlin, Germany because it's so beautifull and it looks like a unique place to visit, and i like the faris wheel, it's so like different, it dosent look like a normal faris wheel it looks like one that, would be in a love scene. And the pictures i would wanna take of that, would be O M G AMAZING:)

1. Beach
2. Playground
3. Lighthouse
4. Carnival
5. Parade.

This place intrest me, because i know the feeling of being at the beach at dawn time and i know how it feel's to be there, it's so quiet and peacefull really enjoyable. And i would take pictures like this one, and also the waves that hit, maybe some jumping fish. And boat's that float by the sea shore:D

The equiptment i would need, is most likley a camera a really go camera a camera protector so sand wont get in it and mess up my camera it's happend to me before i would get a camera stand just because everything would be leveled, and i would need other lighting if i want it to be in dawn, I would need money to plan my trip to the beach as well, just like gas money and everything it takes alot more then just a photo.

My First Print

'

1. Yes, some things are sharp in focus.
a. What's in focus is probably the guy himself, (cant really see much) The guy next to him dosent seem that sharp in focus, his guitar seems in focus too.
b. The things that are not in focus is because i didnt set the focus lens to were it was in focus.

2. Yes, there are some good contrasts. And no, there are not some good contrast.
a. The lighting was probably not so great. And my photo is really dark.

3. Most rules are followed, this photo is pretty candid, nothing is really difficult about the photo. This subject does fill the frame, Leading lines, i figured that if the guitar has lines the rule of leading lines would be followed. I think it shows acedimcs because, he's playing his guitar i took photo's in the theatre hall so its pretty representitive.
a. Leading lines, Crop, Mergers:/, Framing. all appear to be in the photo.
b. Most rules are not in the photo, ill be sure to think about what rules there are and try to find the photo in my head, that fit's what i am looking for in a photo.

4. There is no yellowing in the photo.
a. If there was it would be because it wasnt in the chemicals long enough.

5. Yes, there are some TINY TINY spots of white on the photo, that are TINY!.
a. Maybe because, the enlarger reflected a bad bit bad.

6. Yes, my negatives and everything else is inside of my folder.

Portraits and Self Portraits

Favorite Pro, Photo

Explanation: What i think makes a good photo, is the types of rules it might include, example leading lines, crop, mergers, etc. And also, what the picture is taken of, and how exactly it's taking and what the aperture/cropping/focus, looks like.

The next 12 frames i would like to do in my next 12 photo's would be, Rule of thirds, My view point, set the aperture settings right this time!

Evolution

1. Changes that were made in the Evolution video to the girls face is, Her lips get lifted, her chin gets lifted as well, her neck gets higher, her eye's get lower, hair gets darker, hair gets longer, eyes get wider, Face gets skinnier, skin tone gets darker on the cheeks.

2. It could be ethically to make her look like that, but in reality it's not, human beings buy the product thinking they will look like in the Ad picture, but when really the add is based on lies, and editing.

3. The circumstances to doing this manipulation to this woman is very wrong i think, because she is probably happy , yay, she's going to do a photo shoot, but when really it's not her, herself in the photo, it's a manipulation that the people came up with to look like what they want her to fit.

4. Types of changes that are ok, is the fact that she is in a photo shoot, when they put her make up on a little bit, curled her hair. The part that's not okay is when they edit her pictures, that's not okay at all it's not really her, and people in general might think that, that picture had no editing on it.

5. The difference in fashion photography and photojournalism, is fashion photography has so much photo shop editing, making people look how they really don't look, and in photojournalism, your taking pictures of action, and your not really editing the photo when you take it, maybe like the color, but that's mainly it.

6. What each photography has in common to reality is, that they re originally pictures from outside, meaning like the world/ people/ animal/ plant's and what not, it effect's the ethical practice of each by creating it into something it's not for instance evolution, is really ethical and a high fact of manipulation.

Negative Evaluation

1. From looking at my photos about 8 turned out alright.

2. I think about 4 photo's look like they are not going to turn out, i think well most likely it's because i did not set the aperture right.

3. I think the photo that will turn out well is the girl with the big gigantic tube flute player thing, it looks like everything good looks like the aperture is set right.

4. The qualities that i think will come out in my negative is maybe a little bit of good aperture and the focus is pretty good, looks a little bit like it's cropped. The focus on the photo, is good. in the negative.

5. A tad bit of leading lines are represented in my photo, as well as the view point, the framing, and avoiding mergers!

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A. The main points of the story is that manipulations is somewhat the same as like April fools. April fools day your basically lying to people, But what happened here someone manipulated a photo that worked for the news paper, And eventually got fired for scaring probably a lot of people.

B. This type of photo editing is unethical because if your working a professional job, State the obvious, you OBVIOUSLY have to be professional about your work. It's unacceptable because your trying to state facts, and your not stating facts at all your stating the opposite. My opinion..
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A. I strongly believe this image unethical only because the person who decided to edit this woman's teeth and make it terrible looking on world wide magazine, and they have a professional job, there not being so professional according to this image.

B. The least manipulation was the lady who is screaming at the top of her lungs, and they edited it to make the lighting darker, It wasn't really much of a "fooling" picture i mean it couldn't have gotten me. It is not as bad as others because like i said, It's not that bad of a picture, The editing could have been something maybe more crucial like, the lady sitting on top of him. hahaha, but nah. It's not that bad of a photo.

Drug Cartels in Mexico

Jeff Antebi, experienced a harsh crucial exprerience, I dont think many people can handel seeing random killings, death for no reason. I dont believe that the cartels should be legalized to shoot anyone that is involved with "drugs" for no reason, when most time they have the wrong person! And dont get caught at all for it. Jeff Antebi said "theyre life is in danger everday", I can only imagine being worried everyday that you will get shot at any time if you dont watch your back, You cant live a normal life in Juarez. Just like he said "It's a ghost town at night, The cartels own the night" What time of day do kids like to play? The night. It's not a normal life out there.

Favorite photo would have to be the last one at the end of the video, When Jeff Antebi showed up to a memorial, and took a picture of a girl, With only one tear drop, And he was absolutley amazed because that one tear drop had a million thoughts in her head. I think the photo has leading lines (the tear drop), Cropping, View point.
This was my favorite photo, because you can see in her face expression that her face is just a solid stare with one tear, But deep down, She is hurt, crushed, scared. A million thoughts that day was going threw her head.

When you expose film to light, by opening the shutter, the light reacts with the light-sensitive silver-halide particles in the film emulsion. At this point, the reaction is invisible. The film must be developed in order for the reaction to be visible. The film is developed using a chemical developer, which turns the exposed silver-halide particles into a black metal . The film stays in the developer for the correct time to turn the right amount of halides into silver. The dark areas in the original image will have the least amount of silver on the film, and appear transparent. The lighter areas, conversely, will have the most silver. This effect is why the developed film is called a negative. In order to stop the development process, a stop bath is used. It neutralizes the effects of the developer. At this point the film is developed, however the image is not permanent, there are still unexposed silver-halides in the emulsion. If these particles are exposed to light, they will turn into silver quickly. The film has to be made permanent, this is done with a chemical fixer. The fixer attaches itself to the unexposed silver-halides, preventing them from reacting to the light. The final stop is to remove all traces of the chemicals in a wash step. If fixer is left on the film, it will eventually stain the image. There are additives, like Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent, which can speed up the wash process. After washing, the film must dry.

Doe-Eyed
Lisa Simpson appears on television screens on a new Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 after its inaugural passenger flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia.

The Repetition this photo is the television screens represent repetition why?, because the same channel is on, on the back of the television screens and the seat's are the exact same.

Slice of Heaven
Judges rate Alpine cheese in Oberstdorf, Germany. Jury members at the 5th Alpine Cheese Olympics rated over 700 kinds of Alpine cheese from all over the world.

The Repetition in this photo is the cheese the way it is just presented and the way it's set up! and the way the tables are alinned with each other, makes it repetition and all the different types of cheese maybe different shapes and sizes but they are still cheese thats what i think is really cool.

Quiet on the Home Front
An air traffic controller work station at the Skyguide monitoring center in Geneva, Switzerland's Cointrin airport sits unmanned, as ash from the volcanic eruption in Iceland stops aviation over Europe. Skyguide was forced to reduce its work force by approximately 50 percent due to reduced flights.

The Repetition in this photo, is the computers the chairs, the wires, the back board those are all considered repetition to me because they not only lead to the subject but they are repeting themselves. The way the chairs are set up, is call repetition but also leading to the subject whitch is the computers.

American Soldier slidshow and captions.

A. The most powerfull image in the slidewhow is when Him and his brother are on the trunk of the car crying, Because he is going off to war and they are catching his emotion.

B. I think the In The Army chapter is most powerfull, Because it shows all the changes he is going through as he enter's the army.

C. These images work very well to put this photo together, Because as each major thing that happends photo's are being taken of them. That's pretty cool.

Captions
A. The verbs are usually writtin in past tense.

B. Captions inhance the photographs by telling us exactly what was going on at the moment.

Own Caption
A. 1. First Assignment, 1st Photo, Ian is coming back from training in the army. He is so happy to see his parent's and his girlfrined.

     2. First Assignment, 3rd Photo, Ian is having a butt load of fun being at home, and away from the army/training. He is happy that the time he spent with his brother's is having fun.

     3. First Assignment, 11th Photo, Ian is doing push ups while smoking his cigertte. Ian had to do push ups for not saying "YES SIR!" after he was told something.

Video's
A. These features inhance the photography by telling us more "behind the story" meaning the picture, them speaking and telling us what's really going on.

B. Video's are better than photographs by giving it the advantage for them to speak themself's and telling us themself's of whats happining instead of in a photo, you have to take a strong estimated guess on what's going on in the photo or what you think is happining.

C. Photo's are better than video's by photo's catching what people cant see you get too look at and examin the photo for a very long time, and also you can be able to make up your own story and pictures can capture something with in the speed of light and we would still be able to see it, and examin it. video's you cant do that, you have to watch listen and look.

Marlboro Marine

What skills besides photography did Luis Sinco utilize to produce this slide show?
-Luis Sinco, Used all kinds of photography and skills to produce this slide show like, Taking pictures of the action he was doing multiple times so it look kinda looked like a sketch in a book where you flip through the pages really fast and it looks like it's really moving. Other skills he used in his photography is cropping a lot of photo's and the rule of thirds, He used a lot of that. And also it was mainly like a documentary on what Miller's perspective was about his experience going through war in Iraq.

What was the effect of the multimedia effects of the slide show?
-I think the effect in this multimedia was that Miller had a serious reaction about how he felt after war, He kept asking himself "why him" and it kept getting to him so he also was always thinking about suicide. Which were Luis Sinco helped him and took him somewhere in Connecticut to get better.

What is the most powerful image from the slide show? Why?
-I strongly believe that this image was the topic of the story it just took over. Looking at this photo it gives you a story. The way he is smoking, Which usually when you smoke you have something on your mind. The dirt and sweat on his face, Showing his hard work. His facial expressions, (eyes) His uniform, What he is wearing exactly shows that he is part of the war.

What sequence of photographs is the most powerful? Why?
- I think the ones that are, Him and his motorcycle crew, Only because he is actually smiling in one picture and i noticed in every picture he is not smiling but ONE, And it's the picture where he is with his friends, enjoying his time partying , His mind is actually off the war.

How does the audio enhance the photographs?
-The audio enhances the photographs because Miller is the audio he is speaking in the background telling his story basically throughout every picture. The photography goes with every word that Miller is saying. That's what also makes this Multimedia so interesting.

How do the images work together to tell a story?
-The images work together to tell the story, By the photo's being taken to every action that Miller is feeling, saying, They are all getting seen by the photo's and his words literally fit into every photo. It's like his eye's were cameras and he took those photo's as time went by and the thoughts running through his head. For instance one part when him and his wife were filing for divorce in October, You can tell that his wife was hurt, Because she stayed on the porch being extremely sad. And Miller, in general didn't want to put his wife through that pain. And they got every snap shot of that.

Contest Preview, Show and tell Pt.2

Patrick from Black Keys. I like this photo a lot! First off he is playing the drums(: And also you can see the intense work that he is putting in to make the song/jam he is trying to play sound so fantastic. It interest me a lot cause of his facial expression and i like the instrument.

I think this video is extremly awesome they are just "Scream Queen's" screaming at the top of there lungs to win a contest and i think it's cool and so random. Only because it's screaming....It comes naturally. I didnt know you could have a beautifull scream. And the girl that wins the screaming contest. I like her style(:

This photo is very, VERY inspiring. I am trying my best to succeed as becoming a vegetarian. And for good reasons not the worst i know Elephant's really aren't edible, But it's inspiring cause if i woke up every day and saw this photo, Id know that i am helping them meaning any type of animal(: I like this photo a lot as well Elephant's are my favorite type of animal And the cropping in this photo is great. I like how it has lines (wrinkles) I like the expression in his eye's, The Elephant looks sad/interested in what's going on in this photo.

Great Black, White Photographers pt.3

Imogen Cunningham
I see, thick leaves of a beautifull type of flower sitting on steady clear lake water. I see, crystals in the middle of the steam. I see, more leaves growing out to become like the ones already sprouted from the steam.
I smell, orange with the mixture of banna's, I smell, the smell of rain. I smell nature.
I hear, the sound of animals learking behind the woods. I hear the birds cherping in the tree's. I hear the wind blowing the flower farther and farther away from me. I hear, nothing but silence. I hear the clouds moving. I hear the thoughts in my head while taking this photo.
I taste, the dry wind and craving of water because i am thirsty. I taste the smell of the lake where the flower is placed. I taste everything in the air touching my tounge.
I feel, Like i have to cry while being at a quiet place like this. I feel, i have to think of something sad. I feel, something never felt before, Joy, happiness, depression, sadness all emotions put in one.
This photo caught my eye the most cause when i saw it, i immediately thought of myself. Ask me why?, I dont really know. But i take the guess that the flower still has more to grow as you can see from the steam. And that's just how i picture myself(: Lifes not over. Still have more life to see!:D

W. Eugene Smith
I see, Soldiers left from right of my eye. I see, men working hard to fight for their country. I see, dead soldiers on the floor and i cant do anything but pass them by. I see, people shooting at each other with no sympathey. I see, people decaying on one another.
I smell, Left over smoke from the shootings of the guns, I smell, sweat. I smell, dust and chemicals that i dont think belong in my nose. I smell, dead people.
I hear, Shotting guns at one another. I hear, my boss yelling at me for various of reasons. I hear, my friends suffering on the floor yelling for help, i hear, explosions from the right sight of my ear. I hear, duck ever 15 seconds. I hear, the noise of sweat dripping down my face.
I taste, Water. I taste, dirt that's coming from all of the explosions happining right in front of me. I taste, blood, not sure if it's mine or others?. I taste, salted water coming out of my skin cells. I taste, nothing but dry, because im so exhausted.
I feel, Terrible. I feel, unselfish knowing that im sacraficing myself to save my country and fight for our rights. I feel, that my life could end in about anytime that i am at war. I feel, scared. I feel, completely unaware of what might happen in my life next.
This picture caught my eye because i think it's so risky that soldiers are so brave to sacrafice every little single thing they have, owned, and cared for, and put that at risk by loosing thier life to fight for thier people. When i saw this i thought a little about my family most of them are in the service so i think thats why i liked it alot. And the picture is just beatifull it's self. You can tell that they are really hard working.

The Best Story
The girl stays late after school, because she needs to finish her project on the human body. She studies as much as possible, untill she reaches part of the human body that she thinks became really interesting so she decides to write down what she thinks it is. Then will research it later. That's what i think my "story" would be based on this photo.

 Action and Emotion
This photo has really good emotion i think. It shows that he is doing a science experiment (measurement) and he is trying to be exact with his caculations. His facial expressions shows that he is BEYOND CONCENTRATING. He is concentrating really hard on trying to get the chemicals into the flask the right amount.

Filling the Frame
The frame on this photo is the brick walls, framing the people in the middle of it. The people are what fills the frame as you can see, the people in this photo are leaning on the "frame" brick wall staring at something beneth them. I think this is a good example because the people are centered in the middle of the photo and the framing is perfect.

Avoiding Merger's

Huricane Ike

This photo to me looks like it could be part of Avoiding merger's there are so many merger's (trees) and maybe part of lines the water, is leading to the grave stones. Maybe balanced elements, And that's about it.
This photo right here looks like it could be part of maybe rule of thirds that's if the guy was the main subject, and lines cause there are lines leading to the subject it could also be balanced. Or symmetry and patterns because of the buildings windows.

Great black and white photographers, PART 2.

Imogen Cunningham

Cunningham was born in Portland, Orgen. When Cunningham was 18 (1901) She bought her first camera. She lost intrest for a while in photography, In 1906 she became back into intrest in photography because of  Gertrude Käsebier Photo's. Pinhole Negative and Posotive.

The top is a posotive and the bottom photo is my negative, They are flipped from each other, the posotive looks more dull than the bottom the bottom (negative) is like enlightened. The definition of negative for photography is just reversed colors. Photography negative; Same thing its just color reversed. My negative and my posotive look different from each other because the light and dark areas in the posotive appear to be the exact opposite on the negative photo.
Bending; movement that causes the formation of a curve

Discussion
Because she is basiclly telling us she is crying cause her father past. When somthing sad like that happends you cry. Signal of emotion.

Avoiding Mergers
The flag is obviously in the way, and throughing off the subject of the picture witch is the lady probably giving a speech of 9/11

Framing
It looks like he is trying to send a message and one message only that he is proud to be and american, he is framing that message towards us.

Balanced
This photo is balanced. How? The woman holding the flag and the guy behind her connects with the flag and it makes kind of a weird pentegon shape.

The Rule of Thirds
If you were to cut this photo into thirds or cut it into rule of thirds, it will still be a picture and still send out the message that they are coverd in ashes and they are scared.

Lines
The lines are representing that it's the building, that are shaped in the lines and the air plane is obviously destroying the lined shape building it's breaking the building of lines.

Simplicity
To give more visual attention, and this is giving many attention and it's all about the subject the building is crashing apart because of the DUMB planes.
Introduction
This photo is letting us know what we are going to learn about. The introduction of whatever else is happening.

It was really sad looking at these photos that happend in 9/11 there are most pictures that tell a lot about the picture how everything happend how peoples families and close friends, workers, mothers, fathers, aunts died in twin towers because of a irrelavent disition that was made when getting on the plane.
